New needle treatment may replace surgery for adrenal hormone disorders

NCT ID NCT05368090

First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests a new, less invasive procedure called EUS-RFA (using ultrasound and heat) to treat left-sided adrenal tumors that cause high blood pressure or hormone imbalances. About 60 adults will receive this treatment, and their results will be compared to those who had standard surgery. The goal is to see if EUS-RFA can control the disease with fewer risks and a shorter hospital stay.
