NCT ID NCT06643520
First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked at 82 patients with unexplained high liver enzymes to see if a thinner 22-gauge needle works as well as a thicker 19-gauge needle for taking liver tissue samples during an endoscopy. Each patient had both needles used on the same liver lobe in one session. The goal was to find out which needle gives enough good-quality tissue for an accurate diagnosis, while keeping side effects low.
