Summary
This study tested a drug called ETC-1002 for people with high levels of 'bad' LDL cholesterol who cannot take or do not respond well to standard statin medications. For one year, researchers monitored 130 participants to see how safe the drug was and how well it lowered cholesterol. The goal was to provide a new long-term treatment option for managing this common heart disease risk factor.
