New glasses may slow worsening eyesight in young adults
NCT ID NCT06520124
First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests whether special spectacle lenses (Essilor Stellest) can slow the progression of nearsightedness (myopia) in adults aged 18 to 40. About 42 participants will wear the special lens in one eye and a standard lens in the other, and researchers will measure changes in eye length and prescription over time. The goal is to see if these lenses, already used in children, can also help adults whose myopia is still getting worse.
