Summary

This study tests a standardized treatment plan for esophageal fistula, a severe complication of advanced esophageal cancer that can cause life-threatening infections and malnutrition. The plan includes sealing the fistula with stents, targeted antibiotics, nutritional support, and then anti-cancer therapy. The goal is to see if this approach helps patients live longer and get back to cancer treatment. The study will enroll 32 adults aged 18-75 with newly diagnosed esophageal fistula and advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
