New drug cocktail aims to wipe out esophageal cancer before surgery

Summary

This study tests whether giving a combination of two drugs (epacadostat and lenvatinib) plus standard chemotherapy before surgery can completely eliminate esophageal cancer in 33 adults with resectable disease. Participants will receive the treatment and then have surgery to remove the tumor. The main goal is to see how many patients have no cancer cells left in the removed tissue.
