New drug cocktail shows promise against tough esophageal cancer

Summary

This study tests whether adding two immunotherapy drugs (ipromlimab and tuvonralimab) to standard chemotherapy before surgery can help shrink tumors in people with locally advanced esophageal cancer. About 62 participants will receive the combination treatment. The main goal is to see how many patients have no cancer cells left in their surgical tissue sample.
