Scientists map hidden battle inside tumors to crack cancer treatment code

NCT ID NCT07482774

Summary

This study aims to learn why some patients with esophageal cancer respond well to a combination of chemotherapy and immunotherapy before surgery, while others do not. Researchers will analyze small tissue samples taken before and after treatment from about 12 patients using advanced lab techniques to map the cells and their activity inside the tumor. The goal is to discover clues about how the cancer and the body's immune system interact during treatment, which could help improve future therapies.
