Simple leg lift could stop dangerous blood pressure plunge in surgery

NCT ID NCT07374458

Summary

This study aims to prevent a dangerous drop in blood pressure when older patients are put to sleep for chest surgery. Researchers will test if giving a low dose of a drug called esketamine or simply elevating the patient's legs during this process helps keep blood pressure stable. The goal is to make anesthesia safer and reduce complications for patients aged 60 to 80.
