Summary

This study is testing if a low dose of the medication esketamine, given during and after weight-loss surgery, can help reduce depression in patients who already have depression. It will involve 40 adults with depression who are scheduled for this specific surgery. Researchers want to see if this approach improves recovery, reduces painkiller use, and helps patients feel better after their operation.
