Knee surgery drug may scratch the itch for seniors

Summary

This study looks at whether giving esketamine during knee replacement surgery can reduce itching in elderly patients who already suffer from long-term itching. About 200 people aged 65 and older will take part. Researchers will measure itching levels for a week after surgery to see if the drug helps.
