New brain shunt trial aims to help seniors walk better

Summary
This study is testing a new medical device called the eShunt System to treat normal pressure hydrocephalus, a brain condition that causes walking problems, thinking difficulties, and bladder issues in older adults. Researchers will compare the new eShunt device against the standard treatment (a VP shunt) in 230 patients aged 60 and older. The main goal is to see if the eShunt helps people walk better and is safe compared to the current treatment.
