Summary

This early-phase study looks at how a single dose of escitalopram (Lexapro) changes brain activity in 5 adolescents with autism. Participants undergo brain scans while doing a reward-based eye-tracking task after receiving either the drug or a placebo. The goal is to understand how the drug affects brain networks linked to rigid thinking and repetitive behaviors, not to test a treatment.
