Common drugs could make tough medical scans easier and faster

NCT ID NCT07461389

Summary

This study is testing if giving patients two common medications, simethicone (a gas reliever) and dicyclomine (a muscle relaxant), before or during an ERCP procedure can make it easier to perform. The goal is to reduce bubbles and intestinal movement, which can block the doctor's view and make the procedure longer and more difficult. Researchers will compare results in 90 patients to see if these medications improve the procedure's speed and quality.
