Spray may reduce need for muscle relaxants during ERCP

NCT ID NCT07185074

Summary

This study compares two anesthesia approaches for patients undergoing ERCP procedures. Researchers want to see if using a lidocaine throat spray with a lower dose of muscle relaxant works as well as the standard higher dose for placing breathing tubes. The goal is to improve intubation conditions while potentially reducing medication amounts and speeding up recovery times after the procedure.
