Simple head tilt may cure dizziness in ER patients

NCT ID NCT07111000

First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a simple head-and-body movement called the Epley maneuver can quickly relieve dizziness caused by benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) in the emergency department. About 118 adults with BPPV will either receive the real maneuver or a fake (sham) version. Researchers will compare dizziness scores right after treatment and three days later to see if the Epley maneuver works better.
