New teaching method aims to boost student confidence for a common birth procedure
NCT ID NCT07344129
Summary
This study tested a new teaching method called 'Learning in Pairs' for midwifery students learning how to perform episiotomies, a common surgical cut made during childbirth. Researchers wanted to see if learning with a partner improved students' knowledge and confidence while reducing their anxiety compared to traditional training. The study involved 92 midwifery students who were split into two groups to compare the new method against standard training.
