First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested whether injecting epinephrine into the bile duct opening, along with standard rectal medication, could prevent pancreatitis after an ERCP procedure better than the standard medication alone. Over 500 adults with a first-time bile duct procedure took part. The goal was to find a simple, low-cost way to lower the risk of this common complication.
