New anesthesia method aims to stop dangerous blood pressure drops in C-Sections

NCT ID NCT07480889

Summary

This study is testing whether giving a small, initial dose of the medication epinephrine before starting a continuous infusion helps keep a mother's blood pressure more stable during a planned cesarean section under spinal anesthesia. It will compare this two-step approach against just using the infusion alone in 100 women. The goal is to reduce episodes of low blood pressure, which can cause nausea and vomiting, and ensure better conditions for both mother and baby.
