Scientists probe Hormone's role in diabetes heart risks

NCT ID NCT02692313

Summary

This study aimed to understand how the hormone epinephrine, which the body releases during low blood sugar, affects blood vessel health and clotting factors. Researchers gave carefully controlled doses of epinephrine to 32 healthy volunteers and measured changes in blood vessel function. The goal was to gather basic knowledge about why people with diabetes have a higher risk of heart and blood vessel problems.
