New hope for controlling 'Silent' epilepsy seizures

Summary
This study is testing whether an experimental drug called NPT 2042 can reduce the frequency and duration of absence seizures in people with genetic generalized epilepsy. Ten participants aged 16-75 will try both the drug and a placebo in random order, with brain activity measured to compare effects. The goal is to see if this medication can better control these brief staring spells that interrupt normal brain function.
