Simple injection may boost epidural success in labour

Summary

This study tests whether injecting a small amount of fluid through the epidural needle before inserting the catheter makes placement easier and more successful for women in labour. About 216 women requesting pain relief during childbirth will take part. The goal is to see if this simple step reduces the need for multiple attempts and improves comfort.
