First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests two diabetes medications (SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP-1 agonists) to see if they can reduce the fat around the heart in people who recently had a heart attack. About 136 adults with type 2 diabetes and obesity will take one of the drugs for 12 months. The goal is to measure changes in heart fat and other heart risk factors like cholesterol and blood sugar.
