New combo approach aims to boost CAR-T success in tough lymphoma
NCT ID NCT06458439
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether giving the drug epcoritamab before and after CAR-T cell therapy can help people with relapsed or refractory large B-cell lymphoma. About 31 adults will receive epcoritamab injections, then CAR-T cells, and possibly more epcoritamab if lymphoma remains. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and improves treatment response.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Epcoritamab (a drug that helps the immune system attack cancer cells)
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could make CAR-T cell therapy more effective and help treat lymphoma that remains after CAR-T treatment.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small early-phase trial with only 31 participants, so results may not apply broadly. Epcoritamab can cause serious side effects like cytokine release syndrome.
