Summary

This Phase 3 study tested an investigational drug called CC-93538 for adults and adolescents in Japan with eosinophilic gastroenteritis, a rare inflammatory gut disease. The trial aimed to see if the drug could reduce gut inflammation and improve symptoms like stomach pain, heaviness, and diarrhea over 48 weeks. Researchers compared the drug against a placebo in 48 participants to measure safety and effectiveness.
