New hope for root canal pain? enzyme pill tested for relief

Summary
This study is testing if a tablet called Trinase, taken before a root canal, can reduce pain in the two days after the procedure. It will involve 182 male patients with severe tooth pain. They will be randomly given either the Trinase tablet or a dummy pill (placebo) before their treatment to see which group has less pain and needs fewer painkillers.
