New pill aims to calm lupus skin flares in major trial

Summary

This study tests an experimental pill called enpatoran for people with lupus who have active skin rashes. About 202 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo for 24 weeks, while continuing their usual treatments. The goal is to see if enpatoran can significantly reduce skin disease activity. This is a Phase 3 trial, meaning it is one of the final steps before possible approval.
