New implant targets prostate cancer locally before surgery

Summary
This early-phase study tests whether a small implant called Enolen can safely deliver the drug enzalutamide directly to prostate tumors in 56 men who are already scheduled for prostate removal surgery. The goal is to see if local drug delivery reduces side effects and controls the cancer before the operation. Researchers will monitor safety, drug levels in blood and tissue, and changes in PSA and testosterone.
