Supercharged immune cells take on deadly brain cancer in first human test
NCT ID NCT07579208
First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated Jun 07, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This early-phase trial tests a new way to treat recurrent glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. Doctors will deliver specially engineered natural killer (NK) cells directly into the brain tumor area. The NK cells are designed to better recognize and attack cancer cells while resisting the tumor's attempts to shut them down. The main goal is to find the safest dose and method, and to check for side effects in 36 adult patients.
