New injection tested to ease debilitating diabetic foot pain
NCT ID NCT04469270
Summary
This study tested whether a drug called Engensis, given as injections into the calf muscles, could safely reduce pain in the feet and lower legs of people with diabetic neuropathy. About 162 participants were randomly assigned to receive either Engensis or a placebo injection over several months. The main goal was to see if the treatment led to a meaningful reduction in daily pain scores after six months.
