First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests if using an energy-based surgical device (LigaSure) to remove the fallopian tubes and ovaries during vaginal hysterectomy is safer and more effective than the standard knot-and-cut method. About 70 women with pelvic organ prolapse will take part. The goal is to see if the new technique reduces surgery time, blood loss, pain, and hospital stay.
