NCT ID NCT05609123

First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at a thin layer inside blood vessels (the glycocalyx) in brain-dead organ donors. By measuring damage markers in blood and urine, researchers hope to find ways to better preserve organs before transplant. The goal is to improve organ function and reduce rejection in recipients. About 100 brain-dead donors will be enrolled.
