Doctors under the scope: measuring the physical toll of cancer procedures

NCT ID NCT06549894

Summary

This study aims to measure the physical strain and muscle forces experienced by gastroenterologists while they perform long, complex procedures to remove early-stage cancers from the digestive tract. It involves 10 specialist doctors and uses sensors to track their muscle movements during these operations. The goal is to gather data that could help prevent work-related injuries like carpal tunnel syndrome and neck pain among these medical professionals.
