First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study will test a type of endoscopic surgery to remove certain stomach tumors that grow outward from the stomach wall. The goal is to see if this less invasive approach can completely remove the tumors and prevent them from coming back. The study will involve 20 participants and will measure how often the tumor is fully removed and how long people stay cancer-free afterward.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
endoscopic surgery (procedure)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a less invasive treatment option for people with certain stomach tumors, potentially avoiding open surgery.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early study with only 20 participants. The procedure may not be suitable for all tumor types and could have risks like incomplete removal or recurrence.
