New ear surgery technique aims to restore hearing
NCT ID NCT07304999
Summary
This study aims to measure the hearing results of a specific type of ear surgery for otosclerosis, a condition where a tiny bone in the ear stiffens and causes hearing loss. It will involve 30 patients who have this condition and are scheduled for the surgery. The researchers will use an endoscope (a thin tube with a camera) to perform the operation and then check how much the patients' hearing improves afterwards.
