First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at 30 people with mild pancreatitis caused by gallstones who choose not to have their gallbladder removed. It compares two approaches: a procedure called endoscopic sphincterotomy (which opens the bile duct) versus conservative care (medication and monitoring). The goal is to see which method better prevents future pancreatitis attacks.
