First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests a new, less invasive procedure that uses a special device to sew part of the stomach smaller, which may help people feel full sooner and lose weight. It is for adults with mild obesity (BMI 24-35) who have not had success with diet, exercise, or weight-loss drugs. The procedure is done through the mouth with a flexible tube, avoiding cuts on the skin. The goal is to see if it is safe and works for short-term weight management.
