Scientists search for the pain fingerprint in endometriosis tissue
NCT ID NCT07274956
Summary
This study looked back at medical records and tissue samples from 65 women who had surgery for deep, painful endometriosis. Researchers wanted to see if the amount of tiny nerves found inside the endometriosis growths was connected to how much pain the women reported. The goal is to better understand what causes the severe pain, which could help guide future surgical planning and patient counseling.
