Fertility-Sparing injection challenges traditional surgery for painful ovarian cysts
NCT ID NCT06775769
Summary
This study compares two ways to treat endometriomas, which are painful cysts on the ovaries caused by endometriosis. Researchers want to see if a less invasive procedure using an injection (sclerotherapy) is as good as or better than the standard surgery at preserving a woman's future fertility (ovarian reserve) and preventing the cysts from coming back. The study will follow 60 women, aged 18-40, for two years after their procedure.
