Two hormone drugs go head-to-head in uterine cancer trial before surgery

NCT ID NCT07436793

Summary

This study compares two hormone treatments given before surgery for endometrial cancer or precancerous uterine growths. Researchers want to see which drug works better at slowing cancer cell growth in the uterus before it's removed. About 140 women will take either megestrol acetate or micronized progesterone pills for 3 weeks before their standard surgery. The goal is to find the most effective hormone therapy to control the disease.
