New support tool aims to ease difficult End-of-Life decisions for COPD families

Summary
This study tested a special coaching program designed to help patients with severe, advanced COPD and their family members make difficult decisions about end-of-life care. Researchers enrolled 226 patient-family pairs to see if this support reduced confusion and stress around planning. The goal was to improve patients' confidence and readiness to discuss their care wishes with loved ones and doctors.
