NCT ID NCT05768906
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at how often family members and doctors disagree when deciding to stop life-sustaining treatments in intensive care units (ICUs). Researchers included 429 adult patients in French ICUs whose families were involved in these difficult decisions. The goal was to measure the frequency and level of disagreement, which can lead to legal conflicts, and to better understand this sensitive aspect of end-of-life care.
