Summary
This study tests whether community-led discussion groups can help prevent type 2 diabetes and control blood sugar in rural areas of Pakistan. Over 12,000 adults aged 20 and older from Peshawar and Swabi will take part. The approach, called Participatory Learning and Action, has worked in Bangladesh and may offer a low-cost way to fight diabetes in low-income communities.
