Scientists probe link between empathy, binge eating and obesity

NCT ID NCT07201662

Summary

This study aims to better understand how obesity, binge eating disorder, and empathy skills are connected, and how these factors might affect a person's social relationships. Researchers are observing 155 adults with obesity who are already enrolled in a nutrition program, using questionnaires and tasks to measure empathy and social difficulties. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help improve support for people with obesity, not to test a treatment.
