Tapping away pregnancy fears: can a simple technique ease anxiety before a C-Section?
NCT ID NCT07436832
Summary
This study tested whether a mind-body practice called the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) could help reduce anxiety and prevent postpartum depression in women with high-risk pregnancies scheduled for a planned C-section. Researchers compared 30 women who received EFT sessions before surgery to 32 women who received standard care alone. They measured anxiety levels before and after the technique and checked for signs of depression three weeks after giving birth.
