NCT ID NCT07000552
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also called tapping therapy, in 68 first-time pregnant women to see if it reduces fear of childbirth, improves birth memory, and boosts postpartum security. Participants were at least 32 weeks pregnant and planning a vaginal delivery. The EFT group received tapping sessions, while the control group did not. Results were measured after birth using questionnaires about fear, memory, and feelings of safety.
