Can Emotion-Focused therapy heal broken hearts?
NCT ID NCT07207512
Summary
This study is testing whether Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) can help adults struggling with prolonged grief disorder, where the pain of losing a loved one lasts for many months and disrupts daily life. Researchers will compare 8-10 weeks of therapist-led EFT sessions against a self-help program to see which better reduces grief symptoms, anxiety, and depression. The trial aims to provide a new treatment option for people who don't benefit from current grief therapies.
