New therapy aims to ease the pain of prolonged grief

Summary

This study tests whether Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) can reduce symptoms of Prolonged Grief Disorder (PGD) in adults who have lost a loved one. 128 participants will be randomly assigned to either 8-10 weekly EFT sessions with a therapist or a self-help program. The goal is to see if EFT helps with grief, anxiety, depression, and overall distress, with follow-ups up to 12 months.
