Shocking hand recovery: new therapy aims to restore grip after nerve injury

Summary
This study tests whether adding EMG-triggered electrical stimulation to standard physical therapy can improve hand function in people recovering from median or ulnar nerve repair. After surgery, the wrist and finger muscles often weaken from lack of use, limiting grip. The treatment uses muscle signals to trigger small electrical pulses that help retrain those muscles. The study will enroll 26 adults and measure strength and hand function over time.
