Emergency room heart race: which drug stops it faster?
NCT ID NCT07456423
Summary
This study compared two emergency medications for people who came to the emergency room with a fast, regular heart rhythm that didn't stop with a simple breathing technique. Researchers tested whether adenosine or diltiazem worked better to restore normal heart rhythm in 140 patients. They also tracked side effects and how quickly each drug worked to help emergency doctors choose the best treatment.
